Information Collected
Account Holders
When affiliates and merchants join MerchCraft, they are asked to provide profile information, including name, company name, phone number, email address, and similar information. These users may also be asked to provide financial information including Tax ID number, bank account number, routing number, and paypal ID in order to allow users to fund and withdraw funds from their accounts.
"Cookies" are small data files stored on a visitor's web browser. MerchCraft uses Cookies to determine when a merchant or afffiliate is logged in. These Cookies terminate once the user closes the web browser. By default, a persistent cookie is used to store your login ID to assist returning users by prefilling their login information. Cookies placed by MerchCraft are encrypted on the user's machine so that they are not readable by any third parties. Users can disable this feature by turning off cookies in their web browser.
Web Visitors
MerchCraft collects non-personally identifiable information about web visitors as they interact with our merchant clients' websites. This information is stored in two places.
1) "Log files" store actions occurring on our merchant clients' sites and collect data including IP address, browser type, referring url, request url, user agent, browser accept language, platform type, and timestamp.
2) "Cookies" are small data files stored on a visitor's web browser. When a consumer responds to or views an Internet advertisement served by MerchCraft we send a Cookie to assign an anonymous, unique identifier to the end user's Internet browser. One function of these Cookies is to provide MerchCraft with information for the purpose of paying third-parties commissions when an Internet user clicks on a link, creates a lead, or makes a purchase on an advertiser's Web site. If the Internet user re-visits the advertiser's site directly, MerchCraft is able to continue to track the user's activities (excluding PII) on the advertiser's site and reward the third-party Web site that referred the user. We may use Cookies to estimate the total reach of an advertising campaign, as well as frequency of display. Cookies placed by MerchCraft are encrypted on the user's machine so that they are not readable by any third parties.
Sharing of Information with Third Parties
MerchCraft will only share your Information for the limited purposes provided for in this Privacy Policy. This may include sharing Information (1) to enable third party service providers to assist or facilitate in the services we provide to our clients; (2) to comply with applicable laws and regulations or to respond to a subpoena, search warrant or other lawful request for information received by us, whether or not a response is required by applicable law; (3) to enforce our terms of use and other agreements or to protect our rights; or (4) to protect the safety of members of the public and users of the service.
Opt Out
Users have the option of blocking the use of Cookies by changing a setting in their web browser.
